😅 From Prayer Closet to Product Launch: What I’ve Learned So Far

When God gave me the vision for Wear the Word, I was excited. Like, jumping-up-and-down, can’t-wait-to-start kind of excited. The message was clear: create something that helps people live boldly in their faith and wear the Word of God as a declaration of purpose.

And at first? It was fun. Ordering the shirts, sketching out designs, pressing those first transfers onto tees with my heat press — it felt like a dream coming to life. I thought, “Okay Lord, I see you! This is going to be smooth sailing.”

But let me tell you the real truth: starting a business is not easy.

⚡ The Highs and Lows of the Journey

✔️ The Fun Part: Creating. Designing. Watching my very first shirt say, “On Purpose, For Purpose.” That’s when it hit me — this isn’t just clothing, it’s ministry.

❌ The Hard Part: Setting up the website nearly made me lose my sanctification a few times. 😅 Customizing it to match the brand, figuring out how to make it look professional, and making sure everything worked — that was a whole test of patience and faith.

✔️ The Joy: Pressing shirts while worship music played in the background. It was like my prayer closet moved into my workspace.

❌ The Discouragement: Marketing. Y’all… putting yourself out there, posting consistently, and hoping people will connect with your message — it’s work. There were days I wanted to give up when sales were slow, or when it felt like nobody was paying attention.

🙌 What God’s Been Teaching Me

Through all the ups and downs, God has been reminding me:

  • “Do not despise small beginnings” (Zechariah 4:10).
  • Sacrifice and obedience come before the blessing.
  • My job is to plant and water; His job is to bring the increase.

It’s not about overnight success. It’s about faithfulness. Even when it’s hard. Even when I feel like nobody sees the work I’m putting in. God does.

And I believe with all my heart that He is going to honor my sacrifice, bless the work of my hands, and make these plans succeed.

👕 Why I’m Not Giving Up

Because this isn’t just about shirts.

It’s about wearing your faith, sparking conversations, and reminding yourself daily that you are here on purpose, for purpose.

So no matter how tough it gets, I’m keeping my faith in God and I’m going to keep working.
